Should I get a tag too?! Alberta Big Horn Sheep hunt

Who knows. There was a subtle roll in the terrain with a bigger gap than I estimated perhaps. 250 was probably closer to 350, I still need to shoot the gun to confirm all was well there. I need to relax more, I still get so excited at go time! I’m not happy with the way that part played out 100%, but I was also glad to see it over.
Sounds about par for the course on HT sheep hunts this year, haha. I get excited too.

Those rams up there sure are dark. I like it.

I can practice all day no problems. Put an animal in front of me and I fall apart. Lol.

P.s. isn't there a thread on here about how many shells to carry on a hunt? This is a good example of why more isn't a bad idea.

Nice ram. Glad you were able to get it done.
In this case , my thoughts were , I’m the backup plan, 8 should be lots!

I think I’ll always have a box on me go forward.

I hate Canadians. :ROFLMAO:

I'm kidding, just jealous, congrats on the ram.

Did a bighorn hunt in Alberta in 2023.

Shot one on day 17 on the toughest, most grueling hunt I've ever done.

You guys earned that one, nice job and a high five to your son!

I decided to tell the whole truth and the real story, I thought about doing the bang flop version for people like you, but decided there is more to learn from mistakes and reality than pats on the back for BS.

Congrats on what is a once in a lifetime experience for 98% of the hunting population. Thats a nice ram.

Was the truck tank drilled at the trailhead? that's some low -down BS if so.

I'll be arriving in Sundre on the 30th. Looking forward to the Canadian Hospitality and high country.

Good on you for telling the actual story. And congrats and thanks for sharing!

I rescind my prior judgment about 40+ bullets being too many. LOL

Your buddy has to look himself in the mirror everyday knowing he ended up hiking up there anyway to help pack it out--it coulda been him behind the gun (and with one of his three range finders he probably had in his pack)

no, but at a common location where everyone that goes to this destination car pools from....

Welcome on the 30th and may all your dreams and wishes come true! Enjoy your hunt and our Province!
