As usual Alexis gets up every morning and looks outside to see if any deer are at the persimmon trees, and this morning there were none.
So she gets ready for school, but before we leave she says, "daddy put the muzzleloader in the truck in case there are deer here when you get back home." I said ok.
We get in the truck and get about 100 feet down the driveway and there goes a deer. Alexis said," daddy there is a big mommy deer, shoot it!"
I get out of the truck, get the muzzleloader and put a primer in it and fire. The deer jumps up in the air, cleared the driveway and piled up. Alexis said, "you hit it hard daddy, it didn't go anywhere!" Then she give me the high 5 and we drove down loaded it and went to school.
But...it turns out that it had little...very little horns. In Tennessee if the antlers are less than 3" it counts as a doe.
