Rifle shooting and a little bragging

I have three sons who shoot in the Pacific NW league of the PRS, I get drug along to a few matches as well (perhaps for comic relief). They qualified for the season finale, but just two of them could go. There were open spots so I shot the match as well. Very well run match, very good stages and the provided food was excellent - a big thanks to all those who put on the match. The shortest shot was 100 yards at a playing card, with the closest to center winning an Atlas bipod. My card was ok, but not close enough. The longest shot was about 1,100 yards. My sons stayed close together in points, but a couple of bad stages for my youngest let his older brother pull away. In the end my sons finished in 1st and 9th ...... we're not saying where I finished, but I was a proud dad.

That's great! I hope my 9 year old continues to be interested in getting better. He keeps asking me for a scope for his 22 and I keep saying he needs to learn to shoot open sights first. Great to see kids successful in their interests.

No video of this match, I was shooting as well and just took a few phone pics along the way. I keep meaning to go to one of their matches and just observe and photograph. To anyone thinking about trying one of these matches - do it. My nerves still get me at times, but everyone at the matches I've gone to are friendly and very helpful to new shooters; sharing gear during the day, help on wind calls, etc.

I wasn't, but was out at Blue Ridge a few weeks ago at for the JC Steel NRL match. I saw the Practiscore results and who all was in attendance, very impressive!
