More of a rebellion against the other side, a likely preview of what we will see next fall. Some must like what they got since they voted for it.

Property tax calculations sound like a complete cluster in NYC.This is all part of the DSA plan. Increase property taxes to the point you force middle income households out of their homes. Then force them into public housing. Slowly eliminate private property over time. Ensure the majority of citizens are dependent on the government for housing. With that voting majority, consolidate political control and seize private entities, the means of production being one.
Because we all know homeownership is white supremacy, right? Some much for affordability. Without a strong moderate figure in the DNC, this is the direction your major blue cities will move and with that your blue states.
No other side exists in NYC unless you are talking about two sides of the same party.More of a rebellion against the other side, a likely preview of what we will see next fall.
As long as they keep their rebellion in NYC, I am okay with that.More of a rebellion against the other side, a likely preview of what we will see next fall.
That is far from the truth, when it comes to Mayoral elections... But the state of the national Republican party is making it more and more true each day.No other side exists in NYC unless you are talking about two sides of the same party.
I don't know where you get your info. Here's mine for NY state. I guess you could think NYC is remarkably different. I doubt it, but I'll see what I can find. That is far from the truth, when it comes to Mayoral elections... But the state of the national Republican party is making it more and more true each day.

The squabble is between the Democrat Governor and Democratic Socialist Mayor of NYC.Here's info for NYC.
- As of 2025 (from analyses of New York State Board of Elections data), Democrats comprised approximately 65.9% of NYC registered voters. Republicans were at about 10.73%, and unaffiliated ("blanks") voters were at 21.01%.
- An earlier 2025 report from the NYC Campaign Finance Board (reflecting around April 2025) stated Democrats made up almost two-thirds (roughly 66%) of the NYC electorate, with unaffiliated at 21.1% and Republicans at 11.0%.
NYC has had Republican mayors. Bloomberg and Giuliani most recently. And it's not a safe assumption that registration will determine who people vote for. In NY, you have to be registered for a party in order to vote in primaries, so even people who will vote either way have to pick one. But, I would agree that Democrats have an advantage there and that this has been getting more and more true as the national Republican party shifts further and further to the right (which I believe was the point that brought this up). A Republican mayor with Trump in office would be unthinkable there. I personally know people who live in NYC, have generally voted Republican, but have switched sides and are voting blue because of Trump and the state of the GOP nationally.I don't know where you get your info. Have you been to Florida...?Dont worry, lots of the NYC socialists who cant stomach cost/taxes can move to FL and ruin things there too.
Do you actually think it's possible for Democratic Socialists to create and then implement an overarching plan like that? I mean seriously man. Not a chance. Mamdani was elected for the same reasons Trump was, he was so ridiculous that people thought he might be different, and different must be better. This is all part of the DSA plan. WTF are you talking about? No other side exists in NYC unless you are talking about two sides of the same party.

You keep saying this, hoping that will make it true. Here is another source disagreeing with you.Reuters is a political source.
Yeah, and Washington has had Republican Governors. You can pretend, but those days are gone.NYC has had Republican mayors.
Right there is some fantastic tinfoil hat fodder. 'Wonder what 17rem would think. This is all part of the DSA plan. Yeah, they are just carbon copies of each other.Mamdani was elected for the same reasons Trump was
Breaking news, Trump isn't a resident of NYC.are you talking about?
