So, I'm woking on this big project. It's some exploritory roads for a mining company and the scope is all but small with red tape !!

We have Flower exprets, bird experts, bug experts, Forest service, Tree huggers, Erosion control people, Tree cutters, Historians........ WOW, Lets just say Yesterdays Walk through for a small section of road I just staked took forever with everyone wanting their stuff looked at and their concerns met.

Anyways, it's a big project with a lot of people involved. One of the Botanists we hired was going to stay up on the site for the week. She was studying a plant that only blooms 2 weeks out ofthe year. (Oak, 2 points for guessing it right ;) )

Her family came up to stay in a Camper with her to help her and as I was leaving Yesterday they came rolling in. She introduced him to my team and said "This is Eric". I was like, Nice to met you, I'm Oscar.

YAh, Who would have thunked he took his sun glasses off and said "I KNOW who you are....Oscar, from Hunttalk". HAHAHA

Muley Crazy from here was up there in crap hole Idaho on this project helping out hiking the hills and knew who I was. Now this isn't the first time this happened but it always cool to a nobody like (Unlike Big Fin or some of you "big names") like me because when you are in the back country, in town, or anywhere, someone might recognise you ;)

Sounds like he'll be up there till the 9th so hopefully this post wont get burried but I get to count plants wih him tomorrow all day. Although not what I'd like to be doing, It's outside, I get paid, and I'll team up with a Kick "A" dude all day to talk hunting.....

I'm going to play MTMiller , Oak and Buzz or a day or two......... Sucky for you boys in the office this week !!

LIFES GOOD !!!!

I didn't know CAD guys could count. I thought they just sat around and drew straight lines on paper.
Moosie, sounds like you are wrapped in one of those wonderful Biological and Environmental Impact Statements. At least you are in the field instead of chained to the desk.

Are you working on the Cobalt deal or is there a mine speculating someplace closer to Boise?

Field work is over rated. Think you could build me a road here?:D

yep, I can build you a road. Gonna need some big equipment, a few workers and a whole lot of dynamite. Best bring the beer by the keg too.

Don't challenge the roadbuilders...

Isn't some outfit attempting to put something together up around Atlanta?
We've done some stuff at Cobalt and the EPA clean-up over on Panther Crk.

I was just curious after hearing they were looking at punching a new road into Cobalt if that's where he was.

It's not Cobalt..... It's {Mo} (Molybdenum). and {Cu} Copper.... Local guys never heard of CuMo ?

I am usually at a desk. They are letting me out though. It's been a good week. I usually barely put in 40 hours. This week My guess is it's over 80. Not normal for me, I know, but they need goat like people with eyes like a hawk and I got called in to help for some reason. Pics to be posted next week.

As far as your road question. Enviromentalists are the only thing that could stop me from designing and putting in a road..... Veritical faces are Nothing, give me a challenge ;)

The plant is the Sacajaweana plat. It's suposed to be like a Carrot like thing that blooms when the snow freshly melts and then has some grean leaves, then a white flower and in 2 weeks is gone.

An Idaho native, this rare and beautiful plant occurs nowhere else in the world but central Idaho.

They make it sound rare but if you actually look for it there is a lot of it. I;'ll leave my thoughts on Forest Service off the net for now becasue we're working with them.... ;)

Interesting stuff to say the least working with sve my bush ad tree type people...........I have learned a lot though this last week.

MULEY CRAZY says Hi by the way. Anyone here claim to know him and want me to say Hi back ? Let me know before 5AM...... Good nite.

I'll put my lepidium papilliferum (Slickspot Peppergrass) up against your sacajaweana anytime.
