Question about Union's

Holy crap crtrgitr you get more worked up than a sow grizzly. The work harder bit was a joke jeezus.....

Didn't come across as a joke considering the statement prior..................could be that im running on very few hrs of sleep lately;)

Its all good dood, i'm over it:W:

Dont join a union man. Unions support laziness and disenfranchise the employee while they say they are doing the opposite. Buzz is full of wind cuz hes a big Union figure head. The only people that like unions are unions themselves. If ur into producing shit quality work and getting paid to adopt a half ass lazy attitude towards life AND never have the fear of being fired, then join a union. If you want to be able to make a name for yourself and feel good about your work and integrity at the end of the day, dont join a union.

BigBuckDown92-
Mr. Madison (BigBuckDown92), what you've just said ... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

BigBuckDown92-

that was cute but the truth hurts. Id be defensive too of my cronies who are poor excuses of men too if i were you. Unions and welfare have "ruined the moral fiber of this great nation" just as Hoover said before the depression as to why he wouldn't give handouts. So in fact, Matt, may God have mercy on YOUR soul.

BigBuckDown92- Just so I get this straight...you are quoting economic policy of the President that was in office when this nation went into it's largest depression...I now know why you don't like Unions. I stand behind my original quote. The truth does hurt but I'm feeling just fine.

I wouldnt worry too much about what a 19 year year old d-bag from Southern California has to say about much...I suspect he's drawing his conclusions from the E.I.B. network and combining that with the vast work experience he's acquired in those 19 years.

His vast experience in the work force, football, and hunting are all equally laughable.

Funny chit...

I wouldn't take any life advice from bigbuckdown92. Sometimes it helps to put a face with a guy who is giving you online advice. Here is bigbuckdown:

This is the only known picture of bigbucksdown without his safety helmet on. Oh and thats his hetrosexual life partner....

Nice shirt tool.

Wow! Bennet, you sure stirrred up some strong emotions on the Union subject. I will stay away from that tar baby for now.

To the point of my post, if biology is your 1'st love and you really think you want to be involved in a state agency start firing resumes to all the state agencies & see what kind of response you get, your wife's profession travels well.

I live west of you in n/e Ohio, and have been following the recent hydrocarbon boom that has come to our region (Oh, Pa, WV & NY). The companies that service this industry are starving for workers, be they ruffnecks who work the rigs, truck drivers (heavy demand), heavy equipment operators (pad & road development), welders - pipeline development - to the specialist (frack-completion-etc) and petro engineers. Compensation is good to very good for the non degreed work (truck drivers $18-$22 hr start) ruffnecks $50K-$75K, specialist $75K+, welders - $25-$40hr., petro engineers coming out of college starting @ $70-$80K with signing bonuses.

I have been to two busines2business seminars recently and the story is the same, "we can't get people who can pee in the bottle and get a green light" & we are having real trouble finding people who will work our schedules (long days - generally 2+ weeks on at a time - 1 wk off).

The fellas I have spoken with that work the rigs love it...great pay...transfer around the country (AK, Wy, Mt, SD, Tx, La, CA, etc) and with the off schedule of 1-2 wks at at time they get plenty of recreation (huntin) in.

It may be worth your while to check it out.

Thanks slam I defiantly will look into that I'm testing for my CDL class January 27th been messin around with a friends Dump truck and trailer.
Thanks again for that idea!
Bennett

This entire thread is a joke.

It's a bunch of hot air waisted on something people will NEVER agree on.

Make a decision, union or not, what's the difference? Do what YOU think is best for YOU.

If you join a union, and it sucks, don't blame the union for putting you in that position. If you don't join a union, don't blame the union for overpaying and protecting lazy workers, and putting you in that position. Live with your decision, and if your job sucks(union or non-union) quit and find one you enjoy. After all, it's just a job.

I worked as a non-union carpenter for a few years when I first graduated high-school. Then, I started my own business, and ran that for 6 years. In 2008 when the economy took a dump, I closed my business and joined the carpenter's union.

I'd heard all the same BS, that everyone here is spewing, and I can honestly say most of it is true. Both sides of the argument are 50% correct.

For me, it works.

Well put Dustin. Im not in a union and dont have a fond liking for them but its just another topic people, congress included, will never agree upon. Abortion, the death penalty, gay marriage, healthcare; all that watershed stuff are piles of chit that will never be cleaned up. We need to not rid the piles completely but decimate it enough where we can get around it and on to more important things. I digress...
