My 10 year olds first deer. Made a great shot at 173yds. His mentor tag only allowed taking a doe and wouldn't you know it, a 150"+ buck walked out and stood broadside for what seemed like 5 minutes. Makes me think I should invest in some good camera gear as all I had was my iPhone and he was too far away for a pic with that. That buck was quite a bit bigger than any whitetail I've ever taken, would have been pretty cool for kid to out do old dad first time out! We saw around 6 bucks and 8 different does all in 45 minutes. All in spite of the fact that the farmers dog tagged along for the hunt and just wouldn't leave us alone, he wanted to play!
