Primary mike lee?

The guy is a real creep. I declined to shake his hand at a hearing before Congress when introduced by Bill Thomas.
History in Sage Brush BS and now a member of 2 cults.
That’ll show him by not shaking his hand. It amazes me how many of us prefer to take an approach that differs from decorum and professionalism even if the other side is not doing the same. I’ve never understood it.

I've earned my right to my opine and hatred of some. Yeah, I hate him and his ilk.

Are you serious? How would shaking his have changed the conversation at all? You might as well let know you have zero respect for him. I'm not sure if you have noticed, but decorum died a while back. The nice guys got kicked in the head.

I’m not saying you can’t hate him. All I’m saying is if you want someone to hear you and your side of the story then you have a much better chance doing it with professionalism. We would be amazed at what people will listen to if it’s done in a respectful way.

I left a professional voice message for Mike Lee today about this public land component of reconciliation bill. I did think afterwards that yelling at clouds has a better chance of being listened to, than Mike Lee listening to one of his constituents. I don’t plan to be amazed that he will do anything, not will any of his staff do anything besides delete it.

I get it. He’s my senator and I’ve contacted him multiple times as well as all the Utah Reps and Senator Curtis. I’ve heard back from ALL of them EXCEPT Mike Lee. Pretty damn frustrating. In this specific situation it may be useless but I’m amazed at the inroads you can make with people by having a respectful conversation.

Anyway, I de-railed the thread and shouldn’t have. I’ve been doing my best to get all the neighbors, friends, coworkers educated on this subject in hopes they will burn the emails and phone lines down of the reps. I hope you all will do the same.

Same here, sounds like we are both on same page. Mike Lee just doesn’t act like a reasonable human it seems

'preciate the life advice son.
Tip. Don't take a rubber spoon to a firefight.

I've sat in the chair at a Congressional hearings. Not fun. Ask Randy.
Was respectful of the process until falsehoods were raised and I did not hesitate to correct the error.
I'm done with polite.
This is close to being railroaded thru and we will pay.

Not having testified at a Congressional hearing, but have spoken up at many public meetings and have realized what is effective. It seems the voice in the room most closely listened to is the person seemingly unhinged, but articulate with those emphatically and clearly expressed points of fact and reason spoken dramatically.

You’re asserting that I have no experience in this matter and your assumption is incorrect. Lawyers, politicians, land developers, you name it…I’ve dealt with them.

You take whatever approach you want. At the end of the day let’s see what inroads are made. I want this land grab killed as bad as anyone.

Anyway... Utahns/utards - show up and get this mike lee guy out of congress. Im sure he wont starve and some lobbying job will await.

If you are for transfer of public lands to the states (ive got my disagreements with you) but at least find a canidate that is candidly for that. Mike Lee sold proponents of public land transfer out entirely and skipped to special interest developers.

Surely there must be a conservative in all of Utah who loves the outdoors and public lands, but otherwise checks all the boxes of the things Utah voters want. Money doesn't always trump everything else these days when we get our information online as opposed to TV ads.

You aren't going to primary Lee. McMulin ran as an independent and still lost by 10pts. Utah is as red as Wyoming, and they may hate Lee, but as long as the party backs him, there will be no meaningful challenge. Guys like him, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul might be largely hated by their co-workers, but they are reliable votes.

ummmm

no

Mc Mullin was funded by Mitt Romney, who we also couldnt wait to be rid of. Utahns had no appetite for him.

We can hope that when it comes to money, Lee has made enough other Republicans feel uncomfortable that party money and donations don't flow freely to the incumbent during the primary.

No? No what? McMullen wasn’t red enough. Lee is about the right shade of Red except on this one issue? Seems like a tough needle to thread. A core part of the problem is extremes start to take over the parties. You aren’t going to primary Mike Lee. Best hope is he gets nominated for another job by DJT because it is a reliably red state becoming even more red. Senate would confirm him just to get him out of the building.
