My daughter had seen this buck for few seconds back in October at our south Texas hunting grounds and had been looking for him ever since. She passed many other bucks with the hope of finding him again, he showed back up this morning and her aim was true. Not bad for an 8th grade girl.

She has the main traits for becoming a successful hunter already : Patients, and focus !! Congratulations to her, and her mentor, Dad !!
 
Great buck Congrats! I had no idea there were deer seasons in february.
Our general season ended a few weeks ago, but we have Managed Land Deer Permits for the ranch that allows hunting through the end of February.
