Pellet grill blankets

well, after scouring the internet for reviews and deals, I finally pulled the trigger on a Green mountain pellet grill from a local dealer. now thats its starting to get chilly here and the hunting season is in full swing, I'd like to start using the smoker!

I cant seem to find a definitive answer on using a $20 welders blanket for cold weather smoking, some guys claim they dont hold up after a few uses, fiberglass starts to come apart, etc

do you guys just buy the manufacturer's custom fit insulators for 80-90 dollars?

I have the Traeger brand one for my Traeger. Fits perfect and definitely works

I've been using a Harbor Freight welding blanket for over a year now.

I bought a 3'x3' felt welding blanket off Amazon and used it for over a year and it has held up fine. It works too. I cut my pellet use down significantly in cold weather.
