OnX Connected Hunting Optics a step too far

If organizations like PETA actually knew what went on in the mountains of Montana during elk archery season, we'd lose archery season... or as some of us call it, "the wounding season."

There are plenty of elk unrecovered during rifle season, but nothing like archery season. And it happens to the most careful and diligent archery hunters, unlike the many slob rifle shooters.

I'll add another unpopular thought - in Montana you should have to choose your weapon. Archery, or rifle. Not both.
Maybe you should go to a state that already has that regulation and leave Montana and archery hunting alone…

Yeah, an aid to recovering a wounded elk so the meat doesn't go to waste is a real freedom infringement.

You mean like no internet?
Yes, for this luddite the fabulous fifties, the sexy sixties, and the sensible seventies are fondly remembered as including much less stress, anxiety, array of pills for exerything, simple record keeping, and a much happier America.
The only modern improvement is HuntTalk, IMO ... and some days that's questionable.

Absolutely, and Brad is another example of someone from out of state coming to Montana and wanting to change it…
So to be a "real" Montanan I should to teach my kids to deface petroglyphs and shoot lead cows? Don't you have a cowboy costume to dry clean? Chest hair to blow dry?
