On this Memorial Day...

I'm reminded of a conversation with one of our members held in private. I'm sure he deals with the same demons other service members do, knowing that he's still here and his Brother in arms is not.

Today I remember his Brother in Arms.

I wish I could do more, maybe I haven't been diligent enough in honoring Chauncy's legacy. I need to fix that.

Thank you to all those Servicemen who've made that ultimate sacrifice and to the families that are left behind with a loss that I can't fathom.

I'm thinking of Eldon Wayne Moore..a high school buddy who enlisted in 69 freshly graduated & was killed in the Binh Thuy Province of South Vietnam April 1, 1970, less than 2 months after arrival in February. A damn good small town kid who loved the Army.
