Antistatic was very moving. The sunken road and cornfield was very moving. Excellent preservation of the area.

I second this recommendation. Sears provides a comprehensive retelling of the battle with enough clarity that you can keep track of all the major players/movements.Strong recommendation for Stephen Sears' "Landscape Turned Red" for a great history of the Antietam (or Sharpsburg, if you still call it the War of Northern Aggression) campaign.
Actually, Sears has a fantastic book on Chancellorsville too. I'd recommend that one.I second this recommendation. Sears provides a comprehensive retelling of the battle with enough clarity that you can keep track of all the major players/movements.
Can anyone recommend a similar quality book for the Fredericksburg or Chancellorsville battles?
