Found this while cleaning out my dad's garage last summer. I thought my FL-8 was getting old! Fishing electronics sure have come a long way.

My dad had one of those too.
Could probably still use it effectively for ice fishing if you have the transducer.

Nope cell phone is waaay easier... but I do still use a RCBS A2 to reload..so I haven't completed stop dragging my knuckes.

I meant to crank up catfish! The old crank phone would send out an electric current and the shocked fish would float to the top. They were mostly outlawed in the 50s and 60s but a lot of old timers still used them. If they saw the warden they’d drop it to the bottom forever lost.

I do see on Amazon where they sell a catfish stunner and in the description it says “use with a 12 volt battery to replace your old crank phone.”

These particular ones aren’t all that old, but the design hasn’t changed much over the years.
