Hunting and fishing doesn't count.
Anybody have hobbies they have time to get back to during the winter? Polishing head boards doesn't count either.

Photog, restoring old stuff, wood working, yada, yada? Let's hear it! Don't be bashful even if you are a knitter.

Ok ill play nice. In the off season I like to start crap on hunting websites. Some would say theres no off season.

my wife likes to geocache so I do that with her in off seasons.Helps me get to know my gps better too

we can waterfowl hunt pretty much through may, and fishing is a 12 month deal. What Is this "off season" you speak of?

I have a Windsor chair which I have to repair for a friend, my barrel arrives this Monday for a .280 build on a '98 Mauser action, both bathrooms are to be remodeled as well as the kitchen which I've already started on, deer season runs to Jan. 1, waterfowl well into Jan., rabbit and quail to Feb. 15 for native birds, March 15 for pen raised birds on shooting preserves, catfishing season is now on us (set hooks), need to make about 60 bottles of wine, get the garden in starting in Feb. .........

Aside from chasing Miss Robbie (my Off-season becomes my On-season), a bit of fishing, reloading, and beer, not much.

No offseason here.
Archery season runs to Jan 15, Wolf runs to Feb 15. Shed hunting till bear kicks off April 15.

I can't even imagine how people find time to fish in this state.

I've collected a bunch of Yellowstone agate over the last few years. Waiting for a new saw blade to arrive so I can start cutting it up. Thinking about making some belt buckles and other random stuff with it. My wife swears she married a 12 year old after I refused to get rid of my baseball card collection from when I was a kid and then started collecting rocks.

The wife and I do music year-round, fishing is year-round (winter steelhead starting now if it would rain), skiing (as soon as the wife's broken toe heals), endless honey-do lists.

I guess it would be Fishing, although I have a place in my shop I am setting up a woodworking area for chickles and grins! I would like to take Flying lessons in the future also. I also would strive to work for world peace and make sure Obama is voted out of office. John:D

My hobby before I got back into hunting and my son was born was salt water reef aquariums. I still have it up and running, but I don't give it near the attention it deserves. Here's what it looked like back in it's glory days.

To give an idea of size perspective here is the tank brand new before we filled it up the first time. That's my wife and 2 of my nieces in the tank.

It's 415 gallons 10'2" long, 28" wide and 28" tall. It flows out to a greenhouse shed that I built that has an 1,100 gallon tank in it, and there is also a 135g tank, 150g tank and 100g tank in the system. When you add up the total system volume I have 1,750 gallons of saltwater.

I also raised clownfish for a little while. That was a lot of work but pretty rewarding..

Fixing things around the house, cooking and smoking food (leftovers can be freezer packed for next years hunts), wood turning and antler crafts. Going through my gear making any changes to guns or bows so there sorted out for next season. Selling off things like guns and gear to try new guns and gear.
