What Ice is doing is unnecessarily hurting people to make a point and for political reasons. Otherwise the majority of operations would be in southern states and agricultural communities.

I say that because I can find hundreds or thousands of illegal migrants in farm camp all around me. Rual Idaho. I have worked hand in hand with many my whole life. Nobody seems to care they are here as long as they work in agriculture. I don't really care either as long as they don'tcommit any crimes. We need them here. But if Ice wants to deport people they are looking in the wrong spots. Large democrat run cities are getting hammered for political retribution. While rual Idaho gets a few strategic operations.

I woukd say its not juts limited to ag. Concrete, roofers, hell most trades for that matter definitely landscaping. 10's of thousands here. Probably not as concentrated as by you maybe. I was under the understanding they were looking for the guys with a rap sheet or removal orders not just concentrations of people who came here illegally. But I understand what you are saying. I would say the ones that fit that bill are probably more likely to be found in sanctuary cities than in a rural area working. But I don’t have anything to back that up.

Its estimated more than half of farm labor in California is centered in just 5 counties. It's pretty quiet there right now from a federal presence.

Some do most don't. I talk with their employers regularly many would openly talk about it. Not so much now.
I had a coworker who was about 50yo he had been sending his check back to Mexico. He gave notice said he had paid off his cattle ranch and was going back. Illegal as they come. Hard working good guy. I never saw him again.
He would hog tie bull calves and throw them on the back seat of his car for the drive home

Migrant farm labor in California is highly regulated. Most all have work visas.

Many of the farms have the same crew come back every year on work visas. Some bring their wives and they cook for the whole operation.
