On Wyoming school trust lands you are not allowed to camp overnight or have a fire. There are plenty of restrictions on state lands in Wyoming.

It’s weird you would have user fees for things like campgrounds, boat ramps, ski trail grooming, etc.

None of which are on Wyoming state trust lands either.

Anywhere there is State Trust Land in the several western states, it is owned wholly by the State. Entities from the same State such as game management agencies or State Parks may lease use of the surface land and water through some term financial agreement with the landowner.

Or, as with the Nevada example, sell it all. 4,000,000 acres initially granted to the State to dispose of as they saw fit in perpetuity of education. Now Nevada has some 2,900 acres remaining.

That is true, 81% Federal. There was even a large transfer way back when to trade the Feds for more arable land in kind. And… it’s gone. Because that’s what Nevada wanted to do is sell it. Now this 81% Fed land today is largely managed by BLM. The same agency being targeted for these transfers to State management. Why should we expect Nevada to act differently after the first four million acres?
