Write your congressmen too - just cause you dont live here doesnt mean its not yours.I don't live in one of the western states with "R" Senators, but I hunt Wyoming's public lands every year, so I just emailed the Chamber of Commerce and WYOGA, two groups of influence whose constituents do vote in WY and rely heavily on public lands for their revenue.
If we could avoid inflammatory language and just state calmly the reasons we oppose the bill we would be more effective. This kind of stuff encourages tribalism and gets us nowhere.
I think that is the point. We have to react with enthusiasm against it every time it comes up. The one time we don't, we lose. We only have to lose once and it is gone forever. Guys like Lee are betting on "the boy who cried wolf" playing out.I've reached out to all my congressmen. Got a couple fluff responses so we will see.
For this Not Being a Drill, and maybe it is a tired subject, it's weird and troubling to me that I don't see a peep about it from RMEF, MDF, WSF, and other big hitters. Maybe they are waiting for it to move further along, or maybe they are working behind the scenes, but if the assumption that constituents reaching out to their congressfolk could make a difference is true, I'd think they would be leveraging the voices of their membership. Maybe I am missing something, but is this or is this not a big damn deal?
Not sure - but im inspired to do something similar to the east.
Are you sure this isnt just Mike Lee's wet dream?I think that is the point. We have to react with enthusiasm against it every time it comes up. The one time we don't, we lose. We only have to lose once and it is gone forever. Guys like Lee are betting on "the boy who cried wolf" playing out.
Think if the Repubs had 60 members in the Senate and reconciliation didn't matter. I guarantee Sheehy falls in line. Daines would have done so previously, but he has been digging his trench on public lands so long that now it might be too hard to reposition. But with a super majority the RNC would push him into retirement.
Only wish I could agree. Recent messages to Sens Daines and Sheehy clearly expressed specific issues and concerns ... only to be responded to with form letters which were not on topic and did not address any specifics. If we could avoid inflammatory language and just state calmly the reasons we oppose the bill we would be more effective. This kind of stuff encourages tribalism and gets us nowhere.
Its no coincidence that "landlocked" portions are now prioritized for sale.
Forgive me - im missing the humor.I certainly am not rooting for it to happen, but that would be kind of humorous after all the rooster walking on here recently…
There were quite a few states ready to jump in without hesitation on Utah's SCOTUS petition last fall. I think there is a lot of willful blindness on the subject from people who vote for the R. As long as they are willing to keep sending emails to reps every time this crap comes up, I guess I can live with that fact. Are you sure this isnt just Mike Lee's wet dream?
Its been a focus of his smooth brain - not sure ive seen the love for it besides Utah.
Please stop.I certainly am not rooting for it to happen, but that would be kind of humorous after all the rooster-walking on here recently regarding the landlocked issue…
This issue must not get lost in the smokescreen of Iran/Israel, or any other Trumpian chaos du jour.I've reached out to all my congressmen. Got a couple fluff responses so we will see.

Your bitterness for not getting tags, is beneath you and is honestly disappointing.
At this point I have more faith in Sheehy than Daines. I lost most of that trust when he f*cked us over on the Crazy Mountain exchange.I think that is the point. We have to react with enthusiasm against it every time it comes up. The one time we don't, we lose. We only have to lose once and it is gone forever. Blind faith? New senators, regardless of party, are mostly taking orders especially on something of this size and importance. The longer someone is in office, the better they get at f*cking you and telling you it is for your own good.At this point I have more faith in Sheehy than Daines. I lost most of that trust when he f*cked us over on the Crazy Mountain exchange.
