Nevada Draw/Results 2025-2026

I have an antlered mule deer tag for units 151 - 156. I've been to Vegas a couple of times but this will be my first time hunting Nevada. Leaving next week and I guess I should start my research! Any help appreciated.

I’m still researching the units. At this stage looking at a couple of day hunts and also hike in for two nights.

Are you hunting the beginning of season or end? I’ll be scouting this weekend. For two days then scouting two days before the season next week

I have a Nevada Nonresident, any legal weapon, Antlered Mule Deer tag, Unit 241 - 245, October 5 - October 31.

Hunting late part of the tag with a guide and holding out for something special.

Wow! That is a very coveted tag for sure. We have seen some real monsters in that unit while quail or chukar hunting.

I know this is an annual discussion but things are really starting to look bleak in NV to me for NR Elk which is the main reason i started in NV anyway. 8 points in and odds are getting worse with each additional year/point for any bull tag. The plug will likely get pulled on annual donations after i draw a mule deer tag which might actually happen some day. A guy can buy WY commissioner raffle tickets and have same/better odds as a guy who has a decade invested in NV.

I was figuring theyd be like $10k+ but never looked. I dont know what expenses you are referencing but a drive across country aint that expensive.

I just looked it up. Depending on the area some sell for $10,000 to $15,000. More than I realized. Unfortunately I believe that hunting is rapidly becoming a rich man's hobby. I try to apply for deer tags in areas that are not popular that area use to be 041-042. As people pour into Nevada …….. I started hunting Coyotes and Bobcats. Season is three months long for Bobcats and for pelt quality the same for coyotes. Whats fun is all the big bucks you see while out hunting

If I just want venison I drive out to Wyoming and buy a White Tail doe tag and an antelope doe tag. Ranchers around Kayce let me hunt their property for free

I had to ask myself why I love hunting………..its about being out in isolation not about showing off a set of antlers

Four years ago I drew area 10. Decided to do something totally different. Instead of setting up my wall tent and nice camp I decided to take my back pack only. Id hunted Angel Lake before and hiked the trails in both directions, while bow hunting up there years ago I saw really nice bucks up by Chimney Rock.

I got up there two days before the opening day and hiked up to Chimney Rock and set up my little backpack tent. Lots of hunters were pouring into Angel Creek and Angel Lake campgrounds. I was in position before daylight. Right before legal shooting time i heard several shots then more here and there. Within a short time five big bucks appeared headed up. I was the only guy up there. Filled my tag with a 28” 4x4. It was just way to easy.

I’ve recommended this technique to others with great success. Let everyone do the work for you. Just like Chukar hunting its best to be above them Deer are no different Sure it might be uncomfortable camping in a little tent up high Ni bacon and eggs in the morning but after waiting for a tag being uncomfortable is worth it

Sort of, because we have 365 licenses.

But if you elect to not purchase a new one, you won't gain a bonus point.

You can apply without having a license, and check the box to only get one if you draw, but you don't get any bonus points.

Thanks for those details. I won’t be collecting bonus points so that works perfectly for me.

The last thing I need to do is add another state to my bonus point collection plan lol
