Thanks, the hole in the pic is the exit. I shot from down below him and at a angle. It was 65 yards. He didnt die right away. That is when all hell broke loose. I had four arrows to start with.
Heck, 65 yards is nothing with a bow if you practice. Long Arming a deer is a talent though. Fortunately you didn't have to Longarm that one too much to make it look good.
Nice buck. In the bottom right photo it looks as tho the antlers go straight up, I've never paid much attention but do all mule deer racks do that? Whitetails kind of kick forward instead of straight up. Anyways, congratulations.
