If this is a dumb question, please be nice...:)

I printed the 73 page DEER/ELK/ANTELOPE District Bonus Point Stats Report. I can't figure out all the different breakdowns for individual districts. For example, in the report it lists 4 different "districts" for district 380. It lists 380-00, 380-01, 380-02, and 380-20. Thats all well and fine, but in the 2011 regulations (page 51) in the discription of elk permits it lists 380-20 (which makes sence), but it also lists 380-80, 380-81, and 380-82. How can the regulations list one set of numbers and the report list an entirely different set of numbers??

the regs are referring to district/sex/species specific elk tags. I believe the report is referring to sub district drawing results. It is more complicated than it needs to be.

It's due to the switching from cow permits to cow licenses a couple years ago. The "cow permits" 380-00, -01, -02 in your stats report are now "cow licenses" 380-80, -81, -82 shown in the regs. What you're seeing is the difference in designating between permits and licenses.

Also the stats are for the last season. The regs may have new designations for subdistricts which did not exist last year ... so no stats for them, but stats for subdistricts which may have changed. Kind of confusing, but the stats are really just a tool for applying and may be misleading for the ensuing year.
