Montana Deer

Better late than never getting this posted up; Thanksgiving and some work frenzy pushed this a bit but here goes! This hunt is a short, sweet story - almost Oak style!


It literally was as lucky as my brother and I cutting what looked like fresh-ish tracks in the snow one frigid morning, deciding to follow them and not too long after, bumping this guy and his lady friends from their cozy beds. Though I really wanted a muley, it didn't take long to decide I'd be an idiot for passing him up!

Great deer! The only reason I could see passing up a whitetail like that was if you were getting to hunt muleys on the Booth Ranch.
