You're generation built cars with "planned obsolescence" which is why American's started buying indestructible Japanese cars... which funny enough are built in the US while Ford et al are built in Mexico. Pretty standard to see a Toyota or Honda running around with 250-300k, what was the average max mileage on a Plymouth like 150k

I actually like Toyota and drive a '95 Corolla built on American soil. The word TOYOTA is spelled out on the body in chrome letters. Around 2008, Toyota dropped the brand name TOYOTA from the body sheet metal altogether on virtually all its passenger car, SUV and van models. TOYOTA was spelled out using Latin alphabet letters. TOYOTA is no longer seen in bold letters on newer gen pickup tailgates anymore.

I once drove a borrowed Mercedes Benz and it had the most complicated light switch I had ever seen. I would need the owner's guide to figure it out. One time while working as a mechanic at Chevron full-serve, a middle-age man brought in an early-1990's Jaguar Sovereign I had to do an oil change on. I could not figure out where the horn control was. I kept pressing the hub of the steering wheel and no sound. The waiting customer then walked over to push the turn signal arm inward to actually beep-beep! this silly British automobile. What typical blue-collar Yank would have ever thunk that!

Here's the deal if you apologize for the various home travesties that your generation has inflicted on us, we will bring back the brand name logos slapped on the tailgates.

also, the chrome lettering holds water and leaves streaks when washing and is just another thing to rust and fall off.
A gentleman always orders his vehicles with as few emblems as possible ie no peterbilt or kenworth emblems on the side of the hood.
nobody wants the studio sleeper or unibuilt logo either.

If they weren't glued on they were fastened by studs going through the sheet metal and a nut on the inside. Holes are rust starters.

HOA's? Homeowners' associations? Well, American Boomers don't like to see old banged-up rusty jalopies (especially on jack stands) on the block. We don't like to see indoor furniture parked outdoors on front porches and lawns. A redwood bench, lawn chair and table belongs in a home garden, not a Lazy Boy. We hate unfinished fences and fences that look like tornado victims. We loathe Micky Mouse black cables run everywhere. I cannot stand peeling paint, broken mailboxes, curbs missing house numbers or house numbers missing from walls. We hate piles of junk and weeds. We loved woody station wagons and backyard barbecues. We loved sweet-smelling fresh-mown green lawns sans dog dirt. Litter scattered everywhere is an abomination. We are proud of our hand-painted KEEP OFF LAWN! signs. Like John Cougar Mellancamp once sang, Ain't that America .... little pink houses for you and me!

I don’t need anyone, regardless of your age, telling me what to do with my property. If I paid for it and the taxes are up to date then your opinion is irrelevant to me. Thank the good lord I don’t live in one of those hell holes
