Lil' Cold Inside...

You know it's cold when there is darn near as much frost on the inside of the doors at work than there is on the outside. That ain't spray paint on the door, its ice and frost. Those window openings are normally clear glass as well. It was -31 standing this morning with a -52 windchill. Yup, school is in session and it's business as usual here in Montana. Pretty chilly though.

We're a full 45* warmer over here in Indiana. Got about 2" of snow yesterday. School is canceled.

The first email I opened this morning.

Good morning. The current temperature at the North Pole is -9 degrees. Every weather station in Montana (out of hundreds) except two stations near Sidney on the ND state line are at least that cold and most likely much colder.

The Dog's water was slush this morning. It's next to the refrigerator. In the house, right by the back door.

My dogs go out ,do their buss. and run back to come inside. They were all born in AZ. so they are prob .wondering whats going on.. I'm pretty quick at getting back in too. At least here in Minot We aint getting no snow. Havn't had much at all this winter, just cold. Local news this AM, said since Dec. 1 the average temp. has been 7.5 degrees below normal......BOB!

Ours is ready to head up for a 5 mile hike. Her partially torn ACL however, means she's staying inside. The St. Bernard side is in revolt.

My house in the Springs today was at -15 with a +--25-30 WC. Still a good deal of snow on the ground from the last week and they canceled school for the 2nd day in a row :/ The cold never really bothers me if I can stay out of the wind. I had to go out to the MILVANS here at work yesterday to get an ammo can and like to froze all of my parts off!! It was only about -2 but I circled around the building to the parking lot and caught about a 25mph wind right in the face ...OUCH!! Well I guess that will learn me to wear a coat occasionally

A few weeks ago I thought I had a roof leak around a once problematic skylight in my bathroom. Then realized that every night when it got so cold it frosted up badly and then rapidly thawed when the morning sun hit it and it dripped down into the toilet.

You guys live in the wrong country…its pushing 40 celcius over here, we can hunt deer and big game 12 months of the year and have a pretty dang good economy…but we don't have bugling elk or sheep to dream of!

yeah, half the country takes a snow day with a couple inches of snow.Here in Three Forks,Mt. -35 and school is in session.Good way to start of the day for my school teacher wife...backing out of the garage the door decides to reverse direction 2/3 of the way up.Quick $300 collision.Now its a manual door with a monkey/husband attendant.

Dink, that Accord two door is the same model my wife drives. Doesn't make a very good snow plow does it? Talked to Denver kin a couple of times today; they're pretty tired of it all.
