Anyway, pros and cons of the pants? mtmuley
I've got a couple pairs. No complaints other than I had to buy them longer than I normally wear. They're apparently designed for taller and skinnier folks than me. They are durable and comfortable. I like the vents on the sides of the legs. Wallet feels uncomfortable in the back pocket.

The attack pants are great, my favorite all around hunting pants. They usually run a few pretty decent sales every year.

I prefer the tiburons to the attacks. You can use them in pretty chilly weather with a light base layer. That being said, the attacks are nice too

They’re durable, comfortable, fairly water-resistant (dwr), and quiet. Great all around pant. But wait for a sale. Full price is a lot, and they have sales pretty often.

If you want a pant for when it’s real cold, the Guide Pant is really good as well. The Guides are my favorite of their pants overall.

I’ve had a couple pairs of arrack pants for probably 10 years. By far the most comfortable/ durable pants I have. I also have the guide pants for colder temps. My only advice is size up they tend to run small.

My wife has a couple pairs of kutanas that she really loves. They would probably be my next pair of hunting pants to purchase

I use the axis pant for cold as it has waterproofing panels and bonded fleece liners. Also like the pro brush pant for pheasant hunting.

I used the Axis for the first time this past season. I really liked them—kept me dry and warm—but they were pretty loud.

Pros
Very comfortable
Side vents are nice
Great pockets
Wash well
Did I say comfortable?
Good to the mid 20s (at least for me with base layer)

Cons
Noisy
Can and do get pulls from walking through brush

That’s about all I can think of.
Sales go on at various times, and consistent sales year to year it seems.

“KUIU's major sales are centered around
Black Friday/Cyber Monday (their biggest event), with significant discounts around Father's Day (June), Labor Day (early Sept), and sometimes a Founders' Day sale in early July, all designed to clear out past-season gear for new inventory, offering 15-30% off during these key periods.“

I do not think they are noisy at all. They are not as quiet as fleece or wool, but I would certainly not put them on the noisy side.

They can be a little hot in warm weather. Hip vents help.

They do not have knee pads or waterproof knees/butt like Sitka Timberlines. Rarely do I fall, but the knee pad saved me once. It is nice to be able to kneel down in wet/snow conditions without coming back with a wet knee.

They do not fit me quite as well as the Timberlines.

They are long for the waist size.

All in all, I would give the slight edge to Sitka Timberlines due to knee pads and fit, but it is really slight. Having said that, if you wait for a sale you can get them for $100 which is cheaper than I have found Timberlines in quite a while.

I would encourage anyone to buy a pair as they are definitely high quality at a reasonable price.

@mtmuley

I would have thought you more of a Carhart guy. No fancy stuff.🤷‍♂️
I do wear Carhartt gear. Same performance for less money. My SIL has the KUIU pants and they seem to be really good. Still looking at some other options. Including Carhartt. mtmuley

After about 5 years I'm still a fan of the Attack pants. I only own one pair and that is plenty for a hunt under 7 days. No snags or tears yet. Blood washes out fine. Wide belts fit in the loops, pocket sizes are good like zippered compartments in the pockets.

Never tried the Sitka's or the Tiburon's. I do have a 15 year old quilted pair of Badlands with integrated gaiters when there is snow that I got as a gift. So I don't have a lot of cold weather experience with the Attacks.

I feel like I could wear my solid colored Attack pants in a casual dress situation equivalent to chinos and not look like a Tacticool Charlie. FWIW.

Any idea when? mtmuley
If you look online at their outlet store there a typically some pretty good buys- have bought there both online and at their physical outlet store in Dixon. Only prob is KNOW YOUR SIZES as you can't return clothing to the outlet. Plus online if you provide your email addy you'll get a "first time" 15% code. Then you can unsubscribe after your order comes and begin the game again.

Something to be said for the high tech clothing. I have a pair of goretex SG pants that are great for extreme cold/ wind block. But I dont wear them if I'm concerned about the noise factor. I fall back on my battle tested wool pants alot of the time. Had the same pair for 20 years.
