Israel attacks Iran’s nuclear facilities

The simple fact that Iran pledged as a nation to wipe Israel 🇮🇱 off the planet by 2041 and had a count down clock in the city to show and remind their citizens their goal as a nation , you can’t reason with people that under no circumstances will allow you to live period.

By the way Israel 🇮🇱 blew up the clock just recently

The clock was located in Palestine square in Teheran

They've been about to, for too long to expect them ever. Too much marrying of cousins!

But, really, what is this small price you're talking about like you're paying it yourself? Just pocket change for you, huh? Get your hand out of my pocket!

I'm fine with discussing philosophical points. You stealing my children's college fund to soothe your nerves isn't any kind of polite. It's telling people who should be friends to go blank themselves because you ally with the force of government over your countrymen.
Being as they have the means to create a nuclear warhead now is the concerning part about the whole situation. I'd rather not wait around for them to develop it then follow through on their threats against the US. When I say it's a small price to pay, I'm referring to the safety and well-being of Americans. College funds might not matter if Iran does what they'd like to do to the US. They are a country full of hate and we've seen how many in the middle east fight. They know no bounds. Geneva convention? They don't care. They parade dead soldiers around like trophies. I'd rather not take chances with them having any form of power.

I won't claim to know much about nuclear, but it sounds like they had gotten to the point where they had been developing Highly Enriched Uranium which is primarily used in nuclear weapons. Now I'd rather the government not waste money, but I guess personally I don't see this as a waste. Especially when they have threatened the US so many times.

These on the other hand... I would consider these as stealing from your child's college fund.

While Israel has much to fear if Iran gets a Nuke, Iran does not have a missile capable of reaching the US.

It would be the end of Iran, if they ever sent a nuke, our way. For all of their bluster, they are smart enough to know that.
Agreed. It would and might be the end of Iran if they attack the US. They do have missiles capable of reaching military bases & embassies in the middle east.

Perhaps. If i was them - id want one, maybe even more now.

Nuclear armed countries dont get conversations about regime change, foreign occupation, and the US engaging in a war theyre not directly part of or threatened by.

Mutually assured destruction has basically meant peace with america. See n korea, russia, and others.

Theres not much for solutions - but i wish there'd have been an attempted public negotation. Itd sure have been better optics.

All that said - i still have more confidence in the current regime to address it than i do the previous regime.
Wasn't there 5 rounds of negotiations between the US & Iran? Then Iran threatened terrorist attacks against the US, then Iran continued to develop their nuclear program?

No matter how this goes, it doesn't end well for Iran. They might get a blow or two in there, but they're signing their own death certificate at the current rate.

The only solution I see starts with a regime change. Then Iran apologizes and discontinues their nuclear program. I don't foresee Russia or China getting involved to try and support Iran. All we can do now is speculate until something happens.

Hopefully this is the end of it, but let's be honest. The Iranian leader Ali Khamenei isn't going to go down peacefully in my opinion.

Small price to pay for national security. They've threatened the US many times. They aren't utilizing nuclear for "personal use". I bet they'd launch a nuke at the US first chance they get if they made one.
Launching a Nuke.
The next time a Nuke is launched anywhere, the whole world will change.

The Nuke will be in a container off a cargo ship..
you figure out where and when.

Nothing good is going to come from what happened this past weekend.

SMALL PRICE TO PAY.

It’s not radioactive. All in all, very benign. Better to have it dispersed and “contaminated” with stuff like iron, salts, etc. Last thing you want is to have it concentrated in terms of volume.
That may be true in its natural state. However, as I understand it, the Uranium in Iran was enriched to about 60%. That would it just slightly less than the Uranium used in the first bomb dropped in WWII. That was extremely radioactive.

News is saying Iran just hit the US base in Qatar with 6 Missiles, not sure if any got through

Nobody was home, Iran called first so they could all leave the area.
"Hey Don, can we drop a cpl missiles on an empty base so we don't look like complete fudds to our people?"
"Sure, go ahead".
So much for talking heads and WWIII.

Only after fissioning occurred (i.e., chemical explosive detonation, core compression, super-criticality threshold, fission chain reaction). Modern weapons grade uranium is highly enriched (>90% U235) but is still (effectively) non-radioactive so long as it is kept sub-critical. Criticality requires a minimum amount of U235 in the right geometry. Control either and the stuff is just a heavy metal.

Iran would never nuke the United States. That would be like you spending 20 years on your career, family, fitness goals, house and then suddenly waking up one day and deciding to stab Mike Tyson in the arm with a fork.
