Israel attacks Iran’s nuclear facilities

Just like the Taliban's militia and Iraq's militaries were a joke too. Always more money for interventions.

I think the problem with those wars is we tried to win over the hearts and minds of beings that have neither.
Look at the air superiority that Israel had in the first night. It would take you longer to smoke a brisket than it would take for us to wipe out the Iranian Navy. Boots on the ground is the line in the sand we need not cross.

When a country that has chants in their parliament saying “Death to America” enriches uranium to 83%, and there is no reason to go above 60% for civilian use, what are you supposed to do. Give them an off-ramp - we did that. Roll the dice? Take a chance they are bluffing? The reality is the regime and their military are a joke. I’m not too worried.
To be fair, you can likely find “Death to America” chants in a few blue state capitols across the country. Particularly during the 2020 “Summer of Love” BLM protests and more recent Gaza and immigration protests, all entirely peaceful of course.

I’m sure you could hear those chants in Portland, LA, Chicago, or any other D run city, but they don’t have ballistic missiles and a pile of 83% enriched uranium.

Worth quoting from the article...

Only on Saturday the Houthi group in Yemen - staunch Iranian allies - had threatened to attack US ships transiting through the Red Sea if America entered the war.
American military personnel, businesses, and citizens in the region are now potential targets. Iran can strike back in multiple ways, should it so chose, attacking US warships, or bases in the Gulf, and potentially disrupting the flow of oil from the Gulf, and sending the price of petrol soaring.

I watched interviews of several Israeli officials this morning--their effusive praise and over the top pronouncements about the US sure seem designed to please you know who. That's how you get this country's support now.

Until we have a way off this rock, we're all stuck here; get along, quit stirring up shit, and you'll be just fine. No different than when you grew up and got a job with co-workers, you don't have to be friends but you act like adults and manage, or you get shown the door.
Iran has stirred up the shit for 40 years and it's time for it to stop. I don't care if they have nuke ability or not, they're disruptors and they need to go. History shows you can't just punch the disruptor in the face then step back and admire your work, you need to follow them to the ground. This world will be a much better place without the current Iranian leadership.
Good on Trump and Israel, now finish the job so the people of Iran can start living.
As for "another war", that's laughable; Iran can't protect themselves let alone do much damage. Most still remember Iraq, when the saber rattling came to an end and it was time to put up or shut up, they were nothing but a bunch of hacks.

Serious question - do you have concern of a growing axis alliance?

China, iran, and russia all seem to be getting closer and when combined thats a scary proposition of axis powers.
China is about the only one that has the means to give us a true test. Iran will get whipped if necessary. Russia invaded Ukraine and couldn’t even pull off that win…they have nukes but no one wants to start pushing those buttons.

I’m fine with us crushing Iran’s sites. I don’t want to end up in their “war” with Israel.

I'll ask him when I find him.

Sweet. Current UAW President was an electrician. Current Teamsters President was a truck driver. Neither of them have any sort of degree.

Both honorable professions, but advanced education and advanced professional success do not appear to be prerequisites to become Union President. This does support your claim that a middle manager would be unlikely to become Union President (that could be seen as an “over-qualification” to those voting for them.

Anyway- I’m troubled by the events in Iran. This does not have any sense of finality to it at all.

Sorry you don't read "sign".

My job requires a degree but I've avoided middle management by design as it would disqualify me from being a Union President.

Savvy?
