The conservatives I know respect the Constitution and Congress' duty to declare war/attack enemies, advocate for avoiding proxy wars that offer little benefit to USA, denounce hawkish aggression and it's expense. My family agrees with me that Trump is using the American military to compensate for that shortcoming of his that disappointed Stormy. International allies and enemies will use this as a reason to increase military, diplomatic and economic friction with USA. The only value to this is that it will result in more nails in his political coffin. How can he continue to step on such a short protrusion? My senile great uncle thinks the simplest thing is always best because he can't think 5 minutes ahead or see beyond his own little room. You'd get along fine with him.
