I'm starting to get excited about this season. How much longer??? :)

Well buck up, Oak! I have until Sept 2010 before I can look forward to the hunting season.

It was September all night long, at least in my dreams.

I will even settle for August. I have two dead ringer hunts set for August, so my time line is a little shorter.

And, since I have a turkey and bear tag to fill in May, I am only without my hunting fix for two months. Wife will be glad to get me back "out from under foot" by the time August rolls around.

Man, if I draw the same percentage of my apps, as I drew last year, wife might be looking for a new hubby. That implies she is not currently doing so, which given my behavior, bad looks, and poor investments, she would be well served to be searching as I type this.

I already know of six out of state hunts I will be on, given the points I have, or others I will be going with. Better not draw that MT bighorn this year, as it would interfere with my Wyoming antelope. Ain't nothing gettin' in the way of Wyoming antelope hunt again this year. Nothin'.

Ah yes, 'lopers. I will have an archery tag in CO this year. But August just doesn't feel like hunting season.

Only 134 days, huh? I guess I can do that.

I am really looking forward to the season this year....any season. Plan to chase bears and turkey soon, then hunt the usuals in Idaho, and I put in for WY antelope for the first time. After being out of the country 2 years ago and getting back just in time for the tail end of some hunts this year......I have never been more ready!

Sounds like I'm not the only one with cabin fever. Big Fin, I hear ya. If my wife only knew, I would be in BIG trouble. Best to not tell them until you absolutely have to I guess. ;)

I too think I will have to plan a bear hunt (work trip to the wife ;)) for next month. It's been a long winter...

Gents...time to re-upload the app I made specifically for this...I have it running on my desktop and set it to the earliest hunt I've got locked.

I am antsy for season this year as well! :D

Awesome Oak!! Baking in the hot sun laying 80 yards from a herd of lope is to much fun. I love August Lope hunting. Flip flops and shorts. Back at camp at sundown for beers and BBQ.

Unfortunately, I will be hunting sheep, again, during that time frame;)

Dang Dink. You've got it figured out up there too. I'm jealous.

It can't come fast enough for HT..it'll be a relief to see some game pics & stories in lieu of imaginary gun bans.

It's official. ;) I don't think I'll have much time, though.

You will find one the first morning.

Glad they are posting this stuff. When will I know about CO deer? If I draw deer, I am buying OTC elk, as I could have shot a dozen bulls while deer hunting last year.

NV claims they will post by Friday. I hope so. But, given I am on the waiting list for elk and antelope, probably not too much for me to worry about there. As much as I would love a Cali or Desert Sheep tag, the lottery is a better chance, even without buying a ticket.

Three more weeks and we will know NM and the big three in MT.

After that, I am down to WY deer and pronghorn, MT elk/deer/pronghorn, and AZ deer and sheep. Oh, and KS deer, VT, NH, and ME moose.

Damn, the tag bag looks a little empty this year. :(

I'm guessing that we will be able to see CO deer results in about two weeks.

I don't think I have anything to worry about in NV. I guess lightning could strike. I'm looking at 8 or 9 tags right now, so I really don't need any more luck this year.

WTH, you startin' a TV show? I hope you get about four or five more of them. I'm thinking Hunttalkers could pre-scout for you, find big Hank, you could fly in, toast the big one, and be off to the next spot.
