I know I've been slacking on here as of late but thought I would at least bring what should be a fun hunt to light. My oldest boy (12) drew a ewe big horn sheep tag for 17 this year. I know it's not a big ram or anything but he's excited so I'm excited.

Planning a couple of trips over and around before season but can't wait until September. We had a great year last year out hunting together and hope to this year. I will update with pics when we make a trip over.

In the meantime, if anyone has any info on cool things to do with the kids over there or any helpful info on the hunt it would be much appreciated. We've killed antelope close to there and plan to do our fair share of fishing while we are there but always happy to get more info.

Congrats to everyone who drew tags in WY!

This will be a great hunt.

We've done two ewe hunts there and purposefully waited until mid October on both to hunt. No other hunters seen, cooler weather and nicer hair, plus every bunch had rams with them getting ready for the rut. You can fill your tag in a day if you choose not to be picky.

That's great to hear. I had thought about waiting until October as well but wasn't sure with 30 tags out there. Appreciate the heads up and congrats on some nice ewes!

Thankful for those that have shared knowledge and their willingness to help.

We went over for the weekend and camped, played, fished, scouted, etc. It's a really cool area overall. We spotted several nice rams, a good many ewes, and quite a few youngins. We will probably make another trip over sometime closer to season but it was definitely a fun weekend.
