Hi I’m new to the forum. This is just a little information about me (us). We consist of, my wife one son (26) one daughter (24), a granddaughter (5), and two cats (OLD), and my self (feels even older). We all love to hunt but we live to fish. Both kids are marred happily to two hunting and fishing fools. They still live in town (Great Falls Mt) so we normally go as a group. I’m not yet retired but hope to be soon (5 years?), but some of my buds are and tease me when they can take off at a drop of a hat (fly hatch). We all hunt big game, Elk, Deer, Bear, Antelope; we’ve never gotten a permit for Moose, sheep, and goat but keep trying. We all bird hunt, Turkey, Goose, Duck, Pheasant, Partridge, Grouse, (sage, mountain, sharpeys) and Doves. We are avid shooters, not so much paper or clays but varmints, cans and such. Then there is fishing, we have two boats an 18’ Hewescraft jet, and 12’ sea ray aluminum out board (an old sears boat). We fish any thing ice, lake, river, stream, and ocean. Any way too, flies, bait, spin, jig, troll, and snag. Any type of fish also, we’ve been concentrating on worm water types lately, like walleye and bass. We like to hike, camp, explore new and old places. We are planning a turkey/ bear hunt for after Easter then in may we go paddle fish snagging and fish for sturgeon. Well that’s an over view in to our little peace of life Thanks glad to be hear.

D4570, Welcome to Moosie's place!! It appears you have a passion for hunting and fishing and make time to do a lot of it!! Feel free to post some pictures and great stories to go along. Keep us updated on the paddle fish trip, sounds like fun.

Welcome to the board, sounds like fun for the entire family to hunt together (not many families do that anymore) I can get the wife and kids to fish but not to hunt.... hopefully that will change soon with my little ones ;)

HO-LEE-CRAP thats an Introduction !!! Most people say "Long time viewer, first time poster, HI" :D :D

Welcome aboard to you, Your Wife, The kids Especially and the who lot of the Intos you posted (Except the Cats, I hate cats but It's something I'm working with so bear with me ;) )

Any questions at all drop me a line.

PS, How'd you hear about our Humble abode ?

Good to see you over here 4570. I knew you were from Montana from your posts at Taz's, but I didn't know that you were so close. Pretty good turds around here, but be careful around the Sportsmans Issues forum. There are some different opinions than what goes on at the Bait Shop.

Hope to see you on here often. Obviously you spend enough time outside to shard some good stories.

later...

D4570,

Welcome on board. Your resume is a little like mine. Except for hunting children, there's still hope for the granddaughter though. There's lot's of good folks on here with like interests, some good knowlegde to be collected, and of course lots of "BS"! -memtb

Welcome to Hunt Talk. One thing you must remember is that you have to use correct spelling all the time. Thanks for the fine introduction.

Allow me to be the 1st of the Great Fla Hunt Talk swamp rats to welcome you aboard! If some yo-yo in a Green Big Rig, who CLAIMS to be 'tnctcb', shows up at your gate, speak softly, move slowly, nod alot, feed him, & he'll eventyally move on!

Actually I met him last night and shared dinner with him & his boy. Great guy.

Uhhh, while I'm at it, ya got room for a few sun fried hog chasers, and a Emu, next 'Lope season?

D4570,

Well Welcome aboard from a fellow Fisher Woosie!!
Don't forget the pictures or Moosie won't believe you caught anything;)

We didn't chase any one off....
