It would be a poor man's sheep hunt for me. I'd head east-- to New Mexico-- and chase some Aoudad. A grand would fund the whole trip, easy. Hell, I wouldn't even have to bring cheap beer. It'd be good bourbon on that trip.

By far a western state Mule Deer hunt. non resi tag and gas would more than be covered. Sleeping on public ground cost nothing and food does not count into the cost since I must eat anyway whether I am home or not.

Probably buy an inflatable boat similar to the pro pioneer I used on a float hunt a few years ago. I sure have thought about how many times I could have used it since then.
