Nothing better then a quick turkey hunt before kindergarten! took over 1.5 hours to call this bird in, due to all the hens. With so much strutting and gobbleing the little man could not stand the excitment and fell alseep. Once the tom crossed the 100 yard mark had to wake him up in order to watch the final play of the game. Best beard to date, taped out just over 11 inchs. Couldnt ask for a better hunt buddy. Shortest season ever (hunted just over 2 hrs total this year but by far the best hunt to date in so many ways)

I sure wish I had turkeys in my fields! Maybe I'm growing the wrong corn variety? Congrats on a great looking bird and on it being a family event.

Here is a pic I couldnt get loaded yesterday. Didnt make a big deal out of the beard infront of my son. Trying to show him that any harvest is a trophy as long as it is legal, you walk away with all the meat and good memories. So far Mom made turkey nuggets and turkey casarole both have been WAY better then expected. to be honest the nuggets were great!
