We can always tell when there's a lion in the near proximity. All the other game leaves or we find the kills. Definitely the alpha predators.

ahhhh....an attack camel.....toe...Beware the most ruthless of all North American game. It will launch an assault for no rhyme or reason at a moments notice. They are particularly vicious during the rut and have caused mortal wounds on a number of hunters I know, myself included....

Once they reach mturity its known as a cougar paw...this whole cougar business is now keeping me up at night

I was able to make it through a bought with a vole the made home in a tussik near our cabin. Little bugger wanted to steal a mouse trap with peanut butter. Him on one end me splitting a gut on the other. I gave up he lost.
Wasn't near as exciting as the grizzly but that just kinda happened
