If you looks close.. you can see me... and BillyGoat. B.G. is closest to the camera lookingto the right with a sleeveless blue top and I'm right behind him in the full wetsuit with the yellow strip on the arm.

Cant believe Moosie let a lowly guy from Grand Junction beat him. It looks like Ben Hoffman just barely beat you.

OK moosie, Billy goat, Grady, you guys up for a real bike ride? Yea in Wisconsin we do not have mountains but we do have what is called the driftless area, country that was missed by the glaciers. It poses some nasty steep rolling terrain. Wonderful country, some of the best WT deer hunting in the country, and home of the Dairyland Dare Challenge . (also the Horribly hilly Hundreds later in the year) Here is the longest ride for that day. And no you are not reading the elevation gain wrong.... And no I am not man enough....

LT, thats funny.... I seriously need to put a Story together. But on the goggles. We were in line wating for our "wave". The Pros had left at 2PM and they were on the 4th wave and we were wave 8. I was thinking about the swim and I had my wetsuit on burning up and it was time to put on the Wetsuit cap and race cap.... then I realized I dropped my Goggles. I went into a Freak Panic. I lost it. Looking around everywhere I Ran out of line back up to the place I turned in my dry cloths bag and they jsut looked at me funny and said "Uhhhh NO" when I asked if someone turned in my lost goggles.
I was walknig back trying to figure out how to swim when I slapped my head and... yep, there they were.... on my head. I'm a Dumb A$$ !!!!! The cool thing is, It made me forget about the start of the race and I think I did better on the race for it.
IDB, As far as Compairing it to Robie. I wasn't ready for Robie. I hadn't ran over 8 miles, and I was coming off the Couch fat and sassy. Robie kind of Sucked worse then the Iron man. I left some in the swim and the run on the I.M. I think next year, If I stay in a bit of shape, I'll like Robie better and I won't be sucking s bad as this year. We'll see. I'm anxious to shave off some time
I do always feel behind on these races. The furthest I ran was Robie 13.1 miles and then 10 miles after that. the furthest I went on a bike was 36 miles to prepare for a 56 mile race. And I only swam some 1/2 mile trips and only once for a 1.2 mile race. And I never did any combonation of 2 or 3 like I should have.
But, I am in better shape and Yesterday sprinted a mile and played 1 hour or racket ball and thi morning swam a 1/2 mile and lifted weights (Which I never do). I plan to lift more between now and Aug 21st when i do the Sprint Triathlon in Rexburg hopingto kill my times from years past.
Now...... Having never run more then 13.1 miles and thinking of a Marathon. I mean really.... how hard can a 26.2 mile race be
As far as the Bike race Schmalts, you can keep your Fag sport. That's for guys with steal balls. My sack hurts just thinking about that race.....
