I joined up on the Hunt Talk Forums this summer while doing research for a moose tag. Up until then, I had heard about it but never really checked it out.

With my job, I keep fairly detailed spreadsheets to track my work to help myself become more efficient in planning future projects and daily tasks. In reviewing the last two months worth of pivot tables, it turns out my production has been suffering. I am working slower.

My first thoughts were to blame the projects, but that didn't make sense, and in reviewing my browser history as well time-tracker on websites, I seem to be developing a bad habit.

I am spending large parts of the day that I should be working, reading about hunting, wishing I was hunting, drooling over dead animals, and planning hunting trips.

Am I alone in my addiction? I have made a rule that I will not be on Hunt Talk during business hours. Except for breaks and lunch of course. And when things are slow. And as soon as I'm done with this post. And possibly when people post some more pictures of dead animals.

....we have a few Obama funded bloggers... their productivity surely has not compromised.

Rob G cough Ben Lamb cough cough...you others know who you are.;)

Who me? I only read on official breaks. But when you work for yourself you can take lots of breaks.
