As many have mentioned, finding the B&C public land tree is a struggle. I settled this year for a silver fir (I'm already regretting it). Snow conditions were good, but we may or may not have driven around a road closed sign (web said it was open) so I was anxious to get in and out fast. Like many good mountain trophies this one got a bit broke up on the fall... so her best side ended up against the slider. I told my wife to "catch it" on the fall, she just looked at me like I was crazy... she obviously lacks the proper commitment to this very important annual ritual
