The New version of Vbulleting has a built in gallery of sorts and its pretty simple to use, it will resize your pics and give youa link to link them into your posts.

I put this up for a quick explaination.

You have a picture you want to show, Start my clicking Pictures and Albums

picture.php

once you have done that, it will take you to a screen for your albums, if you have no albums click "Create New Album"
picture.php

Give it a title and a description and click public or private( NO PORN)
picture.php

Once your Album is created you will get a screen like this to upload pictures, Click on Click here to upload pictures

picture.php

Now you grab the picture off you Computer
Click Browse to find your picture on your PC, When you find it click save then click Upload Picture

picture.php

it will then come to this edit window and you can edit your caption name
picture.php

click Save changes and your finished, to add the pictures to your post, click on the picture you want to add and at the bottom you will get some code.
To add a picture to the forum click on BB code, then right click your mouse click copy, the paste it your post and your finished

If you click on a profile of a person with a gallery or pictures you will see there albumlist on the right hand side , of course unless they are private and havent giving you permission to view them.

per post your allowed to put in 6 images I will see if we can up it some as smileies count as images as well.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Delw, I have a Story with 80 pictures.... So I'll need to have 13 posts done before anyone responds so I don't interupt the story..... I say Bump it up. Whats the difference if we have 2 posts with 6 pictures each in a thread or 1 post in that thread with 12 pics.. ??

here one problem just like the old forum.
having to many pictures in one thread will make it harder for guys with dial ups and dsl to open the thread.

I believe Austin Opened the forum up to 10-15 pictures per post. 10 pics are plenty per post and shouldnt affect guys with slower services.
so then you would only need 8 posts ;)

I still need to go through the options when they are finished and change some things. I do like the resize feature in this one though.

But you did bring up another question/problem that has been bugging me since the day we started using VB here years ago and on my other Vb sites as well. and thats typing in a story and having someone posting during the middle. I have tried to figure a way to do this on only have 2 ways,
the first way is to make it in a forum that only you can see the posts then its moved when its finished.

you wouldnt need 100 forums for 100 users as its just one forum and only you and the admins of course can see the post. I use it on my Del-mart forum as a personal customer support forum, I have guys posts questions or problems and only I and the person seeing teh thread can see that post. I have 200 different posts in there from 200 different people.
That is somethign I want to talk to randy about as I think it might be benificial for this situation.

The other way is make your first post.
then do a quick reply to how many posts you need just typing in a few letters.

then go through and edit them, Hence another problem with the edit time limit. but I have a way to do that as well.

Del, is there an edit time limit now? I don't think there was with the old board.

I post pics the other day and it only allow me to post four at a time. Not like the 11 at a time. Is this going to be the new way leaving it at four?

Trent:

We will check on that. We have it set at 12 images. The smilies/icons count as an image also, but you still should be able to post more than four, unless you have a ton of smilies.

We will check on it. Thanks for the note.

Can anyone tell me how to post pics from an android phone? I create a post and try to add an attachment it gives me the option to browse but when I click it nothing happens. The same thing happens when I try to add to an album.

For mobile uploads, you must first load it to Photobucket or Picasa, then copy the link or image from there.

That will change if we decide to upgrade the forum with the mobile edition.

I've tried the Iphone also to no avail. There may be a way, and I don't know it. I always have to wait for a computer to post pic. I can post, but will not upload photos

I hit the button to quick fin. Ill check out photobucket next time. Maybe the mobile will simplify it some too.

Another Idea, Microsoft Word, copy paste.

Thanks, I guess I will look into a photobucket account and hope for the mobile version.

Can I still do it the way I was from my photo program, I resize it there and then upload or do I have to learn this other way to make it happen? Just got used to my way and it only takes about four steps. Am going to try it again. Ok still seems to work my way so alls good.
