Although I hear everything is OK, DeadEYE270's boy (Around age 14?) got hit this morning by a car on his way to school........ Another fast car driving through our Subdivision.|oo

Please drive slow and watch for kids Folks !!!!!!

Hope all is OK! I live near the end of a cul de sac and there are 3 AHOLEs that scream around the corner I live on to get the last 90 yards to their houses. Drives me nuts. This incident probably just pushed me over the edge and Im gonna have to have a talk with them.....gonna be the a hole neighboor down the street now.

There is no excuse for driving fast in housing areas, short of cops chasing bad guys, and even then, when the bad guy gets caught they should be charged with endangering each person in the housing area.

I echo everyone else's concern. In my neighborhood, it seems like the people that are "cutting through" the neighborhood are the worst, although some folks will drive carefully on their own cul-de-sac street, then let it rip when they hit the adjacent, still-residential, street.

Personally, I'd like to see them put speed bumps in residential neighborhoods...

Actually it was Rhett (SP?) Austin is just 10. Everything sounds OK. He did go to the Hospital and they checked him out and Dispatched the cops. We should hear something later today. they do know who hit him. It was the Neighbor. He's a Young punk and they've been warned before. Hopefully this will make the warning stick.

You know Moosie that really sucks,and pass on my regards to him and the Family...Freaking people never learn.
But I'd like to share this true story....My brother is a Deputy Sheriff back home in Az.And in this small town they asked for a Deputy (which happen'd to be that my brother was the only one living in this town)
they wanted one to come out and ticket speeders speeding through the school zone.And My brother said he'd be out there the later,he never went,what he did do was first thing Monday morning he was there waiting,and would you belive he ticketed every single bus driver they had a few parents and teachers,but to top it off the Principle himself who requested a Deputy was cited.
Now let me tell you they where pissed and in the bnext town counsel it was brought up.And to this day they have yet to request another Deputy to come out there since my brother has moved.Go-Figure he did what was asked of his services to the community and better than what the expected..sheesh!

I am happy the boy is OK.... I good friend of mine was hit on his motorcycle not to long ago and he was just sitting there at a stop. A driver came flying by him and knocked him off it. People drive like Aholes and those people are the ones to blame. If your a carefull driver and a accident happen that is one thing, if you drive like a Ahole and go and hit someone then there should be Jail time for something like that!

Speed bumps.

Maybe they can get speed bumps put up. Our neighborhood got them, it slows people down.

We used to have military police that lived on the block. They would personally slow people down. They were good at it too.

Horn Seeker, If you do, Let me know how it works out. I think most people would listen if Someone would say something. I know Sometimes I don't realise how fast I'm going and think It's not too fast. But in Subdivisions , especially arounds parked cars, Etc, Kids could come out any Second. I usually am a PUSS and drive 1/2 what I should just out of a LITTLE kid popping out quickly.

Funny thing is there is a COP that lives right on that corner... But with his rig there every day I guess it's not as Intimidating ?!?!

This morning I left with my Windows Partially frozen too. It taught me a Great lesson not to even think about that chit anymore. Take the time to Scrape the Windows (Although this had nothing to do with Iced windows).

I couldn't imagine hitting someone with a Car or truck .......

Now all this being said, there are also some Kids that play on the Street and when a car goes by they dart right out on purpose with no care in the world. I think Some Parents should take some Contol of Roaming kids too.... But this was the case of a Kid walkin to school in the morning and Someone Flying around a Corner.

Glad to hear Deadeye is OK...My 22yr old daughter just totaled her car saturday...both airbags deployed..she wasn`t hurt thank god..it was a nice 2001 nissan sentra gxe... i told her we can always replace a hunk of metal...but i only have one daughter...
