High Wind Damage

Sorry to see that.
We’re getting hammered here too. Power outages all over and trees everywhere. Gale force winds and soft rain soaked ground is perfect combination. Neighbor took a big lodge pole to the corner of their house. So far I’ve been lucky and haven’t had any come down on my place.
Grocery store was sold out of water.
Never ceases to amaze me how unprepared people are for minor events without power.

I’m going on about 8 hrs without power. Supposedly the airport a few miles away recorded 100mph gust. Pretty crazy system. My parents have two decent sized trees across their driveway and a neighbor with two trees on his camp trailer. Fun day stuck home with my 4 year old since his school is closed. About half my town still has power, not sure why my side is always the one that seems to go out

Just got home, 6-8 shingles missing, damn! Our house was the only shingle house on the road that has held up to the Townsend wind to date. Already called the roofer but still a long ways from the end. Kids playground is about to go. 2’ 45 degree stakes holing that thing down. Kestrel was saying 33-78IMG_8354.jpeg

Looked like a hurricane came through some recent “seed tree logging areas.” The clusters of trees left are leveled.

I only have one call so far. MtnElk had two big pines blow over up in conifer.

My guess is it will pick up tonight or tomorrow when people get home from work. I don’t do a lot of work up North though and don’t do any advertising so it shouldn’t get to crazy.

I have a couple contracts I was hoping to Finnish up by Christmas so I could go hunt the last couple days of a Wy cow elk tag but this wind could squash those plans.
