Forgot about tghe Madaket. It's an old ferry ("it's a boat guys!")that takes you around the islands in humboldt bay out of Eureka. Makes for a nice day hearing about the history of the north coast.

Stop in Shelter Cove along the coast. It's a pain the rear to get there, but well worth the trip. Make sure to check out Fern Canyon in the Redwoods State Park. You'll probably run into some big bulls along the beach down there.

There are definately some big bulls at Prarie Creek State park also. Shelter cove has some awesome fishing as well. If you go to Shelter Cove go north at Telegraph Hill and go through Petrolia, go over Wildcat Hill and you will drop down into Ferndale. Very scenic ride but it does take some time to do.

Wouldn't that be great, but obviously this trip is not revolving around me. That being said, my actions next week may have some impacts on how my hunting season plays out this fall.

Fellas, thanks so much for the help. I had a great trip and now am OK'ed for hunting season.

I was in the Redwoods when I was a pup, but had never been to Yosemite. Both were amazing for this MT guy. Two things though, does anyone speak "American" and what's up with all those people?
