If that's a little one, I'd sure like to see a big one. Tried catfish for the first time in South Carolina this year and it was awesome. Hope it tastes great.

On Aprils shipping Scale it weighed 37.9 lbs.
We fillet it this afternoon and had about 15-20 lbs of fillets.
I wont eat it I gave it to friends and Family.
My Fishing Partner fishs for them all the time at another lake( uses live bluegills) and says they are very good if you soak them in salt water to get the blood out.

Nothing to ponder in my opinion.

One of the best days I ever had on Bartlett for bass was in early January after a successful javelina hunt.

Fish were 22-30 feet deep and you flat couldnt keep them off plastics...unbelievably good fishing.

Buzz,
thats were my fishing partner fishes for flat heads also is at Bartlett. he catchs a bunch of big ones.

we usually catch them at bartlett using 4" blue fleck berkley lizzards while night fishing for bass. My biggest was a 17lber in a Bass tourny. only to be beaten out of goon fish( non Bass) by a 21lber caught on a spinner bait lol
