New here. I'm Rick. Just thought I'd introduce myself and throw up a few pictures of my recent Russian boar hunt. My wife nailed a 110lb boar and and I got a 120lb boar. Tons of fun. My wife got her first one using a Sig Sauer 516 AR-15 with a .458 SOCOM upper. I knocked mine into next week with a .300 WinMag. Tons of fun and very delicious.

Welcome and congrats to you both on some great trophies! Boar hunting to me ranks third right behind bear and caribou. Love hunting them and love eating them! My first boar hunt was in Texas and I was able to take two with my bow. I then went to South Carolina with a retired Navy Seal. The boat ride was as good as the hunting. I think he thought he was still doing stealth missions. Also brought back memories of my Marine Recon days. Took a 250 blue boar on that trip. Hunted the South Santee river between Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Looks like I'll be making some pork chops tonight after the barbecue pic. Love your avatar as well! Good huntin'

Welcome to the site. I often hear about these wild hogs being cooked/roasted/BBQd in one big piece. I see that is the case.

I agree...good introduction. Too many people make their first post wanting area hunting information. Congrats on the boars, they look tasty.

Welcome - great pics. That is some fine swine right there! note: recommend posting your weapon there on the gun porn thread!

Good day sir.

That was the first time we both ever hunted. It was more fun than I anticipated. And it was something both of us enjoyed together. We are hooked. Now my teenage daughter's want me to take them hunting. I know they would really enjoy it and so would I.
I'll post picks of my guns in a bit. I only have 3 so far. But I'm sure the collection will grow lol!

We cooked the one hog in the pick and took the other one to be processed for Jerky, Smoke sausage, Bacon etc. I just got the call that it's ready to be picked up.
My father is a life long hunter but I just wasn't interested in it when I was younger. I was a professional guitarist touring clubs in California. I spent my money on Marshall stacks, Custom electric guitars. Home studio equipment. It's just another expensive hobby. I learned very early on that unless you get signed to a major record label that its a hard way to make a living. I still love playing but just as a hobby now. Hunting seems to be growing as my new hobby.
