Rossi R95 Review

R95 owners - still like them?

Ive got a specific use case in mind for a 45-70, but dont want a henry and not sure about ruger marlins for the price point.
I’m very pleased with mine. Have had no issues feeding or extracting with any of the soft point or leverevolution loads I’ve run through it. I’ve got the stainless in 30-30 with pic rail and peep sights. I’m probably going to be mounting a scope this year, however, to take advantage of the longer range capabilities of the leverevolution loads that outshoot my aging eyes. I’ll be buying another, carbine length in either 45 LC or 45/70 just have not made my mind up yet

I’ll say that I think of the Marlin clones, the S&W 1854 oughta have a consideration. Yeah it’s expensive, but the 45 colt variant I had was excellent. All reviews seem positive for the 30-30 and 45-70 variants as well. Can get em in stainless and “blued.”

I like them, save for the wood checkering- but for that price ill just go with a ruger (although, no 45 lc option).
