Too residential for that , and they keep the rodent population down.Too close for comfort. I would have taken a shot with something other than a camera.
They are great hunters, cats, dogs etc. We have quite a few. As long as they stay in their space and away from mine, they are cool to watch. We had a family of them living in the wooded section next to us , but they seem to come and go .
We haven’t seen one in a while. I’m glad they’re back .

Shot them on sight on the ranch. I regret that now. We never lost so much as a chicken to one. Skunks and raccoons were another story.Too close for comfort. I would have taken a shot with something other than a camera.
We have rats down here attracted to the bird seed on the ground under my feeders .Shot them on sight on the ranch. I regret that now. We never lost so much as a chicken to one. Skunks and raccoons were another story.
It's good that you were able to keep them from your domestic animals. We get them in the cameras regularly. Like I said, if they stay in their place and not in mine they are great to watch.Shot them on sight on the ranch. I regret that now. We never lost so much as a chicken to one. Crazy how well it was camouflaged. I caught the movement when it jumped on the fence but it took me a couple seconds before I realized what I was looking at .Amazing how well they blend into their environment. Can see them when they are moving, but your eyes play tricks trying to see them when they stop.
I've seen two mountain lions in California. One was in Henry Coe Park. You know they are close to you. It's good that you were able to keep them from your domestic animals. We get them in the cameras regularly. Like I said, if they stay in their place and not in mine they are great to watch.
