Gunnison area deer numbers field reports

Any feedback on what the deer numbers are looking like after the tough winter? Hoping to hear good news from guys that have had a chance to hunt some of the unit so far this year.

I wasn’t really aware the basin had a tough winter? Or I haven’t read any feedback on that. I’ll be there in a few weeks for first rifle

Better than they’ve been. Not as good as it was before. Winter kill wasn’t as bad this past year as seasons before.
