Grim Reaper Hybrid

Did anyone use the Grim Reaper Hybrid broadhead this last year? I am hoping to get some real in field advice on performance. I understand the broadhead debate, and I'm not advocating it here. I am normally a strict fixed blade guy, but this broadhead has me considering it.

From the reviews I've read, it seems like a good choice for large game, specifically elk. It has a fixed head (2 blades and chisel tip) and then two additional expanding blades that fold back increasing the total damage diameter are to 1.5 inches.

Thanks for any thoughts and advice from those that have used it.

Looks like a make believe thing from the kid's video games where they just add crap just to make it look cool.

I wouldn't even consider that thing. Penetration has to be terrible.

I haven't killed a ton of game with a bow, but those that I have were with the good ol' boring Thunderhead. The only shot that didn't pass completely through was a buck that I hit the far shoulder on. Gimics just don't sit well with me when it comes to archery, cuz they usually will screw you exactly when you can't afford it.
