Great Social Media posts?

I think the moral of the story is: if you need to bust out the TI-84 graphing calculator to aim where to shoot at a live animal, you’re a lozer and you deserve to be shamed endlessly.
Absolutely. Didnt mean to go super far nerdy with it.....

Only reason im pointing it out.... People who start shooting super far often have technical misunderstanding (or understanding just enough to be dangerous) about the risk involved - with wind and/or animal movement (considering time of flight) especially.

Its easy to connect a long ways out.... When youre shooting in similar conditions and elevation. When you can miss and walk it in. When the wind is still. When youre on a bench. When you havent been hungry and hiking. Etc.....

Believe it or not this video the guy is explaining why he doesn’t wear a separate bino harness, he clips directly to his pack. “less sh*t you have to wear.”

If they said I could never hunt again, or be associated with this guy …I’d really have to think about my reply.

Yeah the reload for the pistol on his belt get me. Because you’re gonna be able to get 5 rounds into a bear, then pull the next 5 out of that ammo belt, reload and do it again. Probably not even hunting in griz country, ready for a charging oversized raccoon or a fleeing mountain lion to unload on.

He has bear spray for bear repellent. His pistol is for the more likely encounter with trailhead vandals.
