Taking a moment to say "Thank You" to all the men who served on this day at Normandy. Thanks also to all who have served and are serving.
It is because of you and your great sacrifices, that we have freedom! ! May God bless all.

My Grandfather died last week at 97. He was a Battle of the Bulge guy and ex-POW. That man was hard as woodpecker lips :) He is the person in my life responsible for showing me that what needs to get done WILL get done period. God bless all those "hard" men from the past!!

'They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.'

Such brave men.

Amen, my dad just got back from Normandy and was sharing the experience with me. My brother is the deputy director of the Eisenhower Museum and library in Abilene, Kansas and they are having a big weekend there. My favorite part is the panel of remaining soldiers they are hosting in an open forum.

I am deeply moved every time I read personal accounts of the battle. My respect for all those men and those that I have had in my life is beyond profound.
