G'Damn Do-gooders

For those of you in and around the Boise area, I work in the Idaho Water Center building on the corner of Front/Broadway. The deer that come down the river through town stop at the big vacant lot at Myrtle/Broadway. Must be some browse in there they like.....

Any time we are looking out watching the deer some do-gooder, always a woman, thinks she is doing the animals a favor by stopping her car and trying to herd them back across the street to the river. Today is no exception. A doe and two very young fawns are trying to mind their own business and of course some digbat is running around waving her arms and the fawns are going nuts. I would like to see the doe stomp the chit out of her.
First thing she is going to do is run them into the traffic and then she will be pissed if one of them is run over.

Tell me, WTF is it with people anyway?

LOL. People will always stick their noses into things in which they have no business, and worse, zero clue.

Same thing happens with my GSP in Mexico where he loves to swim all day at the beach. He is unbelievably fit and can stay out in the water for 3 hours without touching paw to bottom but some person who "knows best" invariably starts talking (usually not directly to us, but in a loud general sort of way) about how we're just tipping cold ones and ignoring our dog, who is in real trouble and doesn't have the sense to come in when he's tired.

Hilarity often ensues when they decide to rescue him and swim out into the current to get hold of him. He usually evades them but sometimes just scratches them when they get close and goes on his merry way. When he does come out on his own accord or when I whistle for him, he scrambles up and down the steep banks to relax before heading out again.

Yeah, this dingbat shooing the deer back to safety or another one just like her will get one killed and then blame the city for not doing something to keep them safe. Ten tons of irony.

You might see him play though on Tourney day, I sent him our schedule. If nothnig else, We might use him against the 34th ward. We beatthem last week and they don't take too kind to loosing. But we were only paying them back for Dodgeball and basketball
